Chris Adams is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Joomla hosting specialist Rochen Ltd.
Rochen currently hosts tens of thousands of Joomla websites with their hosting platform providing full 'out of the box' compatibility for Joomla with optimal configuration for security and performance.
Instead of driving Rochen in the direction of the mass market, like most web hosts, Chris has focused Rochen on a niche providing a premium quality service with high reliability, lightening fast page load times and all backed up by world class 24/7 technical support. Rochen has made massive investments in recent years, buying only the best infrastructure and deploying enterprise features like Rochen Vault, which offers twice-daily off-server managed backups, allowing easy recovery of any Joomla site. Rochen operates a hosting location in Dallas, Texas and last year opened a second location in London, England. With Rochen, customers have the choice of whether to host their site on a UK or US server.
Rochen are heavily involved with the Joomla project. When the Joomla project forked from Mambo in 2005, Chris and his colleagues at Rochen answered the call to assist the project with their massive hosting requirements by providing several servers at no charge. Today, Rochen now provides multiple large server clusters to Joomla and delivers over 100 terabytes of data across their network for the project annually. Chris also committed Rochen as a Joomla Platinum Development Sponsor at the Joomla Developer Conference (JDC) in New York, NY in December 2009.
Chris has attended and spoken at previous Joomla Day's in the UK including in 2006 and 2009, as well as at international events in San Francisco in 2007 and 2010 and Vancouver in 2008.
Chris will be delivering a keynote presentation on "Joomla Hosting and Security" at Joomla Day UK 2010 and leading related sessions as well.
